I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Me….

Watching webcams has been something I’ve done on the Web for as long as I can remember.  Websites such as Earthcam provide users with a directory of webcams from all over the world that can be viewed anytime. All types of webcams are present, from Times Square cameras to a webcam pointing into the backyard of a person living in Fiji.

Watching a webcam’s appeal to me is hard to describe.  It opens up a window for me, a way that I can see certain places unfiltered.  Since my life doesn’t allow extensive travel at this time, tuning in to a webcam allows me to get a sense of what a certain area of the world looks like.  Although this is not a permanent solution to my curiosity, it does give me outlet to view certain places that I would like to visit in the future
